"Directions" Career/Life Transitions

“Exercise those talents/ gifts

The ones you most love to use

For the purpose the world

Most needs done right now.”

โ€‹

When Deb read that statement, she immediately knew that her mission and passion was guiding mid- to late-career professionals to discover their natural talents and ascertain where those talents can add the most value in the work world. She understands that what was a good match several years ago, may not be today. She believes that our work impacts our well-being and that of our family, our community, and the economy.

Deb sees the world through jobs and careers. This empowers her to recognize the nuances of jobs and careers and connect the dots in unique ways, helping clients find niches that match. “You help others see possibilities they never, ever would have imagined.” Deb proudly embraces the identity given to her by a colleague: Your Career Whisperer.

Deb is a Master Career Practitioner and actively participates in Career Thought Leaders, an international think tank of professionals in the careers industry.

Murray A. Mann

Intercultural Workplace

Human Rights and Workplace Equity are in Murray’s DNA. His multicultural life experiences have taught him that “Every Human Interaction is Interculturalโ„ ” and that humanity has reached a tipping point. He believes that we must evolve our intercultural agility and inclusive behaviors for our world to survive and flourish.

These beliefs started early in his life. At age 12, Murray fought to participate in the 1963 March on Washington. As a teen, he participated in a multicultural and multireligious leadership program where he developed his personal mission statement: “to enable people and organizations to follow their calling.” It is a path he still follows today.

After 30+ years of leading Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) initiatives in multiple sectors, Murray launched the Forum on Workplace Inclusion® at Augsburg University, serving over 1,000 Chief Diversity Officers and DEI professionals.

Murray is an executive and career management coach supporting multicultural career success, from job search strategies to C-Suite leadership skills. He served as president of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Chicago Chapter and on ICF global teams for DEI and cultural competence in coaching.

Murray co-authored Barron’s The Complete Job Search Guide for Latinos, with an updated edition to be released in mid-2022. He also co-founded the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE) and developed career centers for several multicultural professional associations.
